Our Babies

Hey there!
Today I am sharing my  layout for the April 15th challenge at Stuck?! Sketches.
I used Basic Grey Prism for this fun page of Austin, myself and some of our friends:
I added lots of color using watercolors to my background. I tore washi tape and added that as a frame around the edge of my page:

I created a border and a cluster near the bottom of the page with patterned papers, diecuts and a SpiegelMom Scraps cork arrow:

More papers, diecuts and cork arrows along with some stitching:

For my title, I used some old My Minds Eye chipboard alphas and added some stitching:

Here is the fun sketch Laura created:

Labrador

Hello scrappy friends!
Today I am here to share a cute page of Sierra and our dog, Bender, who we had to put down in November. Bender always kept us on our toes, was always happy to see us when we got home and he is greatly missed by all of us. I am grateful for the many photos we took of him! This layout is up on the ScraPerfect Blog today.
I used papers that have been in my stash forever, I can't even tell you what they are...

I used my Cameo to cut a file from the Silhouette Store and then decided to back it using a couple of patterned papers.

With all of the small spaces in this cut file, the No Clog Writing Cap attached to the Best Glue Ever was the perfect way to attach it to the patterned papers. All I did was apply the Best Glue Ever to the backside of the cut file and then turn it over and laid it on the patterned paper.
I also used both of these products to attach the fussy cut doggie and landscape at the bottom of the page:

I also used these 2 products to attach the paw print border:

The Best Glue Ever and No Clog Writing Cap make this so easy to do and without the mess too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Be Kind...BeYOUtiful!

Hey there scrappy friends!
Today I am sharing a layout I created last weekend using the cut it out challenge at Paper Issues and the April challenge at 123 Challenge Blog.
I used a few of the Hip Kit Club kits- mostly the April one for this layout of my kids:

I loved that cut file and backed it with a Crate Paper Oasis paper from the kit.
I added watercolors to my background. I added a few layers behind my photo along with some washi tape:

I love all the gold in this kit!

Here's a close up of the cut file:

You Make Me Happy!

Hello!
I has some fun scrappy time over the weekend and played along with the Hip Kit Club's sketch challenge on Facebook. I combined it with Paper Issue's quote challenge: You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey. I used the February kit for this page:

I used a variety of alphas from my stash to create the title. The "Happy" chipboard was in the kit.

I added a fussy cut butterfly along with some other embellies from the kit:

For my background, I used watercolors and added some black mist spatters. I also hand stitched the yellow triangle with embroidery floss:

Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy, my friends!

Winter Sucks!

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using the November Hip Kit Club kit, a sketch from Creative Scrappers and the Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues.
I had taken this photo in early January. I was on my way home from work and got stuck at the end of my driveway. It started out raining and then changed to snow. After spending a 1/2 an hour shoveling and using ice melt, the snow plow came by and covered up all my shoveling. Needless to say, I ended up waiting until my hubby got home and blew out the driveway. LOL My title says exactly how I was feeling at the time.

I used a snowflake cut file from the Silhouette Store and cut 3 out of white cardstock. I added a few papers under them along with some stitched circles and watercolors. I added embellies on top. This one contains a fussy cut deer, ephemera and a snowflake brad:

Here I added lots from the ephemera pack along with a brad from my stash:

I added my photo, that cute Pink Paislee snowflake clip and more ephemera:

I added 3 wood snowflakes from my stash topped off with a few sequins. Here is a close up of one of them along with my title:

Here's this month's fun sketch:

Creative Embellishment/ Petaloo Cross Promo

Hey everyone!
I am here today to share the layout I created for the Creative Embellishments and Petaloo cross promo.
I choose a photo that was taken last year of the kids and I on Mother's Day. We were in Shopko looking at lawn furniture, sat down and the kids sat by me. Of course, my hubby snapped some photos. Because the photo was a rainbow of colors and my papers were teal and purple, I decided to print the photo in black and white.

Mother's Day layout supplies:

Here are a few close ups:
These Petaloo flowers are just gorgeous!

I painted the Infinite Rectangle Frame with a coat of Gesso and then added some grey paint. Finally added a few strokes of purple Shimmerz Pearls. I also added the Shimmerz Pearls to the word "Love".

For my title, "Mother's day 2016", I used a few different colors of  mists. For the berry clusters, I used 2 different inks to color them.

That "fairy" flair was the perfect embellishment for this page!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will check out what the Petaloo design team and other Creative Embellishments girls created with this cross promo!

Fun In The Sun

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using the April sketch at My Creative Sketches and the tic tac toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash.
I am still working on using items from my stash. For this page, I used Fancy Pants papers, Pink Paislee embellies and Petaloo flowers. I also added an old rub-on (Fun In The Sun) and some Teresa Collins word phrase stickers.

I added some layers of papers, a frame and a border along with some stitching. I love those Petaloo flowers!

Th gold foam anchor is from an older Pink Paislee line. I thought it would be perfect for this beach page:

I had a heck of a time with the rub-on, I really had to use some elbow grease to get it to rub off! It's an old Scenic Route rub-on. Remember that company? Yeah, it's really old! But I am happy with the results!

Here is the fun sketch:

and the tic-tac-toe board:

I used the middle row: Stitching, flowers and ephemera.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Fantasy and Flowers

Hey there scrappy friends!
Cards In Envy has a new challenge up on their blog today! Today's challenge is to use a fantasy character and lots of flowers on your card.
I used a fairy from Creative Embellishments, primed it with Gesso and then added some ink to it. I added some Stickles to the wings and  hair. I used The Sweet Life by Amy Tan and fussy cut a bunch of flowers from one of the papers. The background papers are also from that line.

Stop on over to the Cards In Envy blog and see what the rest of the design team did with this fun challenge!

My First Layout For Stuck!

Hey there scrappy friends! Happy April Fool's Day!
I am excited to share my first layout for Stuck?! Sketches! I was so excited when Laura asked if I wanted to join the team! I have been playing along for quite some time over there and her designers are so talented! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better. NO FOOLING!
Here's the layout I created using the April 1st sketch along with Simple Stories You Are Here:

I love the colors in this line! Orange and teal, SWOON!
I used a cut file from the Silhouette Store and cut it out on white cardstock.I stitched it in place.

I added some puffy yellow trim in a few spots along with some Prima alphas from my stash.

I added a frame, Fancy Pants sequins, a flair and a tag.

Here's the fun sketch from Laura:

I love how this turned out! You can never go wrong with using orange and teal together. Love it!
Hope you will check out the Stuck?! blog and play along with us!
