And the day before Easter!
I have a project up on the Just Imagine blog today- a little Easter bag for my God Daughter. It is so cute and easy to make! I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #921:
Here is my bag:
And some close-ups:
The top flap open:
I have seen these around on the web, but decided to "wing" it when I made mine.
I started with a piece of 6x12" cardstock, punched (with no insert) one of the 6" edges of it, with the punched edge out on the MS Score board, I scored at 4 1/4", 4 3/4", 5 1/4" and 9 1/2".
Place cardstock right side up and fold at 4 3/4".
Turn over and fold at 4 1/4", 5 1/4" and 9 1/2".
I used the circle cutter and cut a 2" circle in my cardstock on the front panel, a half inch from the bottom so my bag and treats show.
Now you have the base of your bag. Add patterned paper, embellies and a snack sized or sandwich sized Ziploc baggie filled with treats.
I then punched 2 holes with my Crop-A-Dile (yes, I finally used it!) and threaded ribbon through them and tied a bow.
Wallah! All done and ready to make someone's day!
Hope you enjoy your Easter!

Almost Spring Break!
I have a few minutes before Austin gets home from school and starts Spring Break, Sierra is at track practice. But wanted to share a layout I made for the Birthday Sketch-a-thon going on at My Scraps & More. I combined Missy's sketch and twist to use a stamp on your layout along with Memorable Seasons March Challenge #6: Scrunch it up and came up with this fun layout of the kids watching a movie on our California trip:
Here's Missy's sketch I used:
Gotta run! It's almost that time! Have a great day!
I stamped the circle a few times using orange paint and a plastic lid. I also used red ink and stamped my chevron arrows. The bright orange scrunched ribbon really draws your eye to the photo!
Here are a few close ups:
I have seen other scrappers stitching over chipboard letters and love the look, but thought "my old sewing machine will never do that!" Well, I tried it and it was so easy! Guess what? You will be seeing more stitched chipboard alphas on my pages!

Happy Wednesday!
It's my day up on the My Scraps & More blog today and just wanted to share my layout here as well.
I used the My Mind's Eye Collectable Collection on this layout of Sierra at the Homecoming parade in 2012:

I fussy cut the flower and added a button and twine to it. I also twined the banner and check out the arrow washi tape, I love it!

Almost Spring Break!
It's my day up on the My Scraps & More blog today and I just wanted to share my layout here too.
It's not quite spring break here yet, but will be in a few weeks! I am getting excited for the kids to be off of school and no schedule to follow! We usually head to a waterpark or do something fun for a few days, this year we have my nieces wedding out of town, so I am looking forward to that. Do you have any spring break plans?
I used a photo of Greg and the kids from last years spring break trip to the Mall of Amera for my layout titled "Spring Break". I used the Echo Park Scoot collection. I love the colors in this one! I added some banners, stitching and paint spatters to my page:

Just Imagine DT Reveal and a Blog Hop Winner
Good morning and happy Monday!
We have more snow on the way today, UGH! I am so ready for spring!
Sunday on the Just Imagine Blog was reveal day for the design team. Our challenge this month was to use the color GREEN.
In Social Studies, Austin had to pick a person, read a book and then the entire class did a wax museum of their character. He loves history, he gets that from his father, and chose Fidel Castro. They then had to dress like that person and make props and stay as still as possible for 1 hour! We ended up buying his costume online at Amazon. Here is my green layout:
I am a new follower. You rocked this card! Love the arrows!
Congats Jean! Please send me an email with your name and address and I will get it out to you.

I used the Star Template, cut out 2 stars and punched them with the Kreaxions 4
in 1 Punch #907. I added both the positive and negative, or fall away part to my
layout and inked them. I also punched a border with the same punch, #907, and
added that under my photo and also added part of the fall away piece in the
upper left hand corner along with my banner.
Here is a close up of my punching:
You can check out what my fellow design team members did here.
Okay, now I have a winner to announce for my RAK from the MSW Blog Hop. But first I would like to thank everyone who hopped, left sweet comments and starting following my blog.

Welcome to the weekend!
It's my day up over on the Just Imagine Blog today.
Just wanted to share my layout I made with the above Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch # 306. I punched a couple of different patterned papers with the punch and layered them on my layout. I also took the negative part of one of the borders and flipped it to the backside to add another shaped border. I then sprinked some of the punched negative flowers on my layout.

Inspiration Elevator March Challenge
If you are here for the My Sketch World Blog Hop, scroll down or click here.
You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow.
This month, our challenge comes from the very sweet and very talented Joanne Burton. Joanne resides in Waterloo and co-owns a scrapbook store there with her bff. Her scrapbooking style is classicly elegant and always showcases wonderful photos. It's no wonder that her challenge to us is centered around the photo - here is the challenge, in Joanne's own words:
Inspiration Elevator has been such a tremendous experience for me! We have explored our style, stretched our single pages into two, documented our fears and regrets, scrapbooked our beliefs, worked with less than perfect photos and have even gone vintage! Hopefully we have each grown as a result of being a part of this group – I know I have!
One of the fun things about scrapbooking is working with our photos. We get to pick and choose our favorite photos and have fun recording the memories behind them. So this month, I thought we could stretch our creativity by having some fun with our photos!
I assume we all work with digital photos, so this month’s challenge will work for each of you. I want you to pick a photo and then alter it in some way using your favorite photo editing program. I would like to see something more than just making your photo black & white. Maybe use a special effect, add a frame, play with text, etc. There is so much you can do!
Play with your photo until it conveys a particular look or feel that will help you to express your memories associated with that picture. Then add it to your page! When you post your finished project, please share how you altered your photo, and why you chose the effects you did. (Maybe you could even post a before and after of your photo!)
I hope you will stop by and see what the designers on this adventure have created:

I really enjoyed this challenge and yes, it was a challenge! I am very computer illiterite , but I am learning every day and have come along way already!
A friend and fellow design team member on a message board I am on has been talking about PicMonkey. She alters photos and makes sketches at PicMonkey. I decided to try it last month and made a few sketches. I don't own Photoshop or any decent photo editing software, so I thought I would give PicMonkey a try at photos. I love what I did!

I played around with the brightness (-7), shadow (10) and clarity (7%):
Then I added a Polaroid frame with text on the bottom of it. I then took it a little further and hand tinted one in blue, red and yellow. Well, all I really had to do was push a button ;)

Sketches, sketches oh I love sketches. Well let me tell you how excited I am to show off Lucy's March card sketch today.
Hello!
My name is Lisa Moen and my husband, Greg and I live in Wisconsin with our two children, Sierra, 15 and Austin, 13. We have a very rambunctious yellow lab named Bender. These 4 are the subjects of most of my layouts. I have been scrapping for over 15 years and absolutely love the creativity of it. When I am not scrapping, you can find me camping, 4-wheeling or gardening in the summer.
I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful, creative team again!
Here is Lucy's wonderful card sketch:
For my card I used the new My Mind's Eye Collectable Collection, a Wilton doily, some Doodlebug Twine and a SRM Sticker for my sentiment. I also added some stitching and an elegant border:

Just Imagine
Hello! It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today and just wanted to share my layout with you.
With Easter coming up at the end of the month, I figured I better get a few of last years Easter pictures scrapped.
For my Easter Basket layout I used Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #904:
and the wonderful Circle Cutter:
I used some JilliBean Soup papers and punched a border on my layout and added some bling to the center of the punched flowers. I then took the fall away piece, cut a piece off and added it to the top right hand corner of my layout for a banner. I then added some paint to the edges and also a few colos of paint spatters:
