Hello From Deer Camp

Hey there friends!
Here in Wisconsin, deer hunting starts next weekend.
Today I am sharing  a layout of Austin and his cousin while at family deer camp last November. Austin doesn't really like the hunting, but goes to spend time with cousins and uncles he doesn't see very often. I used lots of Creative Embellishment chippies along with an old Glitz collection from my stash for this page:

I heat embossed the Circular Twig Frame and placed that on my background. I added a few Maple Tree Seeds colored with ink and a Nuvo Glitter Marker and tucked in a few on the wreath and scattered some on my page. I fussy cut the "Hello" from a card in the Glitz collection and used that for the start of my title:

I heat embossed the Deer Head and tucked that in to the right side of the photo. I added the sticker calendar and the blue patterned paper:

I used alphas from Making Memories and the Glitz collection to finish off my title, adding a bit of machine stitching. I added a few more of the Maple Tree Seeds here as well along with a few punched stars:

I added the Tree Border to the bottom of my page and colored it using a few different ink pads. I heat embossed the deer and added that down there as well:

Austin doesn't like his picture taken, so I don't get too many of him to scrap. Needless to say, I enjoyed getting a bit grungy on this page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Married Life

Hey there!
I am up on the Creative Embellishments blog today with another travel layout using the Finnely collection from Glitz along with some Creative Embellisment goodies. This pic is of my hubby, Greg and I on the beach at the Outer Banks. It was really windy and cold while we were there so this is as beachy as we got, lol!

I added mists and watercolor to my white card stock background. I took the Distressed Grid Stamp and black ink and stamped it on top. I colored the Happy Married Life title piece with a black Sharpie. I added an acrylic flair and a wood veneer Heart, colored with a red Sharpie:

I added a few Glitz PL cards, one behind my photo and the cute deer to the right. I added some machine stitching to it. I added a Heart Cluster piece, colored with a red Sharpie and added a few stickers from the collection:

I used a big diecut-"oh baby" as part of my title. I added another wood veneer Heart to the upper left of my photo:

I am not sure how old this Glitz collection is, but it has to be at least 15 years old- it feels good to use my stash and it looks new again when combined with the CE goodies.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Elmaro Winery

 Hello!

Today I am sharing my last layout for Sketches In Thyme. I have decided to step down from this wonderful team as life has been busy. I would like to thank Tammy for having me all these years!

Here's my layout using some Glitz papers from my stash:

I fussy cut the flowers and added a strip to the left and a few flowers under my photo. I added the Creative Embellishments chipboard wine glass and bottle that I colored with a marker:

I used Cloud 9 alphas from my stash:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Inspiration Elevator October

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond the mundane.
You can catch us on Facebook  and share your creations there; we'd love to see how we have inspired you!

This month we are thrilled to welcome back as a guest designer with our team, the artistic and genteel, Scarlett Salomone. Her creative works are as lovely as she is!

This month's challenge is issued by the talented Wendi Robinson. Her first time to issue a challenge for IE and it's a great one! Here is her challenge in her own words:

LOSS... One thing we as scrapbookers do is post about lots of happy things, wonderful moments, things that make us smile, and things we want to remember. Too many times we avoid scrapping the not so memorable, or sad times. Most of us have experienced a loss of some kind, whether is be a loved one- sometimes it's expected, sometimes the loss comes too soon and unexpected. Other times we lose a pet, a job, feel like we've failed at a situation, or loss of a friendship. This time, let's scrap those harder moments that come into our lives. Scrap about a LOSS of some kind.

I knew right away what or should I say who my subject was going to be- our very good friend, Ron, who died from pancreatic cancer a year ago last month. I have lost other loved ones, but this loss has been the hardest for me. I bawled as I created this page and am bawling now typing up this post.  Ron was too young and always lived life to the fullest!
Last month Greg and I were visiting my sister and BIL on a weekend and decided to go visit Ron's grave. It just so happened it was one year ago that day that he passed away. This was the first time we seen his head stone and of coarse, I had to take pics. This photo was perfect for this challenge.
In honor of Ron, who we all miss dearly, here is the page I created:

I used Glitz Finnley collection along with a Studio Calico wood veneer word, some Little Yellow Bicycle stickers and a few different alphas. I also added some Concrete Shimmerz Mist and Fancy Pants Sequins.
Here are a few close ups:

I used this fun sketch at LGS:

Stand Tall

Hey there scrappy friends!
There is a new sketch up at My Scraps & More Sketches today.
I used a new manufacturer to me- Lawn Fawn and I love their stuff! I used the Hello Sunshine Collection for this layout along with a few embellies from the Fancy Pants As You Wish Collection (ticket, label sticker- watch out, & ephemera pack- camera, filmstrip and the word explore) of Austin at the lake a few years ago:

I used a Kreaxions Punch for my border, popped up the ticket in its natural state and stitched my title:

Another border on top along with a sticker from the Simple Stories DIY Collection:

I added some Cosmo Cricket mini alphas:

and some Glitz washi tape:

Here is the fun sketch by Tammi Bennett:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Meeting Spongebob

Hello and happy Wednesday scrappy friends!
My son is a huge SpongeBob fan and on our trip to the Mall of America last year on Spring Break he finally got to meet him:

I created this layout for Saturdays Scrap lift challenge on the My Scraps & More message board. I lifted a layout by Meterr and used the Glitz Finnley line.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

I fussy cut the title and hearts and added some stitching.

Here is this weeks sketch by Ashley Horton:

Stop on over to the LGS Blog and see what the other talented designers did with this sketch and to play along.
