Family Layout- 123 Challenge Blog

Hey there!

I have some exciting news to share with you....

I am guest designing for 123 Challenge Blog this month! I am so excited!

The challenge this month is:

• Use the color teal
• Use the word family
• Use a stencil

I used a family photo that was taken last October along with a few Creative Embellishment pieces, some flowers from my stash, The Best Glue Ever and lots of mists!

I created my background using a Prima Stencil and some light modeling paste. Then I added teal and green mists. Then I used the Fairy Dust Stencil and added some BoBunny Sugar Glitter Paste. Finally I stamped with black in and the Distressed Circle Stamp

I used lots of flowers, some I have had in my stash for at least 10 years! I also used a Creative Embellishments  tree colored with mist. I added a flair button from Creative Embellishments and a few leaves cut from a  Silhouette cut file:  

Here is a side view of the "Family" banner. I added mists to color it.

I added some sequins scattered throughout the page.

Best Friends

Today I am sharing a layout I created over the weekend for a few challenges. I used American Crafts Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm and the Best Glue Ever for this page:

I tore a piece of red polka dotted vellum and used that as part of my background. I fussy cut a lot of flowers and leaves and layered those around my photo, popping some up with foam tape to add some dimension. I added a few word phrases from a Tim Holtz sticker book:

I added the word "Here", from Heidi Swapp, that I colored with watercolor:

For my title, I used Thickers. I love the gold "Best"! The "friends" Thickers I colored using Gelatos:

Hey there!

I had some scrappy time on Sunday and decided to play with the January challenge over at 123 Challenge Blog. I added in a few cut files from The Cut Shoppe- Scribble Scrabble and Words To Live By.  I used The Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to glue down those cut files. 

I also used Simple Stories So Rad. 

I decided to go big with the title and back it with papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I added some watercolor to my background using the packaging technique:

Here's a closer look at the title and to the left, a cluster of embellies cut from the 6x6 paper pad along with one of the stars from the cut file. I also added a fussy cut arrow along with a fussy cut star and another star from the cut file.

Here you can see one of the Scribble Scrabble cut files. I added some stitching to it. I also added that cute baseball sticker popped up with foam tape:

Finally, I added some phrase and alpha stickers:
