Hello and happy Monday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created over the weekend. I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe along with the big title challenge at Paper Issues and came up with this fun page of Sierra and a few friends having fun last summer:

I added some watercolors to my background using the packaging technique along with some spatters. I cut the file on my Cameo and colored that with watercolor as well. Then I stitched in place. 

I added a patterned paper behind my photo along with some washi tape, a diecut flower and a fussy cut frame:

I trimmed the 3x4 journal card down and punched the border. I added some stickers, a flower diecut and the fussy cut "summer lovin'

Here is the other photo. I added a sticker to it. I also added a fussy cut watermelon and life float.

Orientation

Hey there!
Hope you had a great weekend! I can't believe it went so fast!
I had some free scrappy time today and created this layout using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and the bingo challenge at Scrap Our Stash.
I used Amy Tan for this layout of Sierra:

I added a bit of grey paint to the background and then added layers of patterned papers behind my photos.

I added some stitching- straight and zigzag.

I used a few different Thickers and some Authentique mini alphas for my title. I strung the UWEC banner alphas on twine.

I used the first column down: paint, 5+ patterned papers and twine.

December Project 12

Happy Saturday!
Hope you are having a great weekend so far!
Today I am sharing my last Project 12 sketch and layout for Creative Inspiration. I have decided to step down this term due to working full time. I have enjoyed my time there and will visit often! I would like to thank Bev for having me!
I used Carta Bell and Pink Paislee for my 2 pager this month:

I hand cut the trees and stitched them to my background. I placed my photos so that they were in the shape of a tree on this side. I also added some wood veneer and old Basic Grey's alphas.

I added some Carta Bella and miscellaneous stickers from my stash. My journaling is on the tag behind the pic of me in the mask.

Stuck?!

Hello and happy Friday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created over the weekend using the January 1st sketch over at Stuck?!
I used a Silhouette cut file and Amy Tan for this layout of Sierra and the Forensics team last year at state:

I added watercolors using the packaging technique to my background. Then added the cut file on top.

Isn't that cut file so pretty?! I backed it with Amy Tan papers using ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever and the No Clog Writing Cap.

I added a few fussy cut word phrases, a diecut camera, some mini alphas and alphas that I stitched in place.

Here is the cluster at the top right of the page. I added some pretty papers and a fussy cut flower.

Hey there!

I had some scrappy time on Sunday and decided to play with the January challenge over at 123 Challenge Blog. I added in a few cut files from The Cut Shoppe- Scribble Scrabble and Words To Live By.  I used The Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to glue down those cut files. 

I also used Simple Stories So Rad. 

I decided to go big with the title and back it with papers from the 6x6 paper pad. I added some watercolor to my background using the packaging technique:

Here's a closer look at the title and to the left, a cluster of embellies cut from the 6x6 paper pad along with one of the stars from the cut file. I also added a fussy cut arrow along with a fussy cut star and another star from the cut file.

Here you can see one of the Scribble Scrabble cut files. I added some stitching to it. I also added that cute baseball sticker popped up with foam tape:

Finally, I added some phrase and alpha stickers:

Junior Year: Creative Embellishments

I am back today sharing my second layout I have up over on the Creative Embellishment blog .
 I created my background using watercolors and the Distressed Circle Stamp with black ink.

 

I took a Grunge Circle Frame and painted it with white acrylic paint first. Once it was dry, I added a teal distress ink and then went over that with some red acrylic paint to match my papers, which are Echo Park and from my stash.

 

I wanted it grungy looking, so that is why I added the 3 different colors and didn't cover it totally. I love the outcome! I took the 11th from the Grades or Awards chipboard set painted it with white acrylic paint and then added mist. I added my favorite black striped washi tape and stitched it.

 

 I used the chipboard word "Junior" from the Junior Prom and painted it white as well and then colored it black using a Sharpie. I added some Bella Blvd. washi tape, stitching and Echo Park alphas.

 

I added some Wood Veneer Stars and Footballs to finish off this football page.

Hello! Hope your New Year is starting out awesome! 

I was curious on how many layouts and cards I created in 2016, so I went back and counted. I created 133 layouts and 69 cards! This does not include any off the page projects I created.

I have noticed that I use a lot of white cardstock for my background and also that I love watercolors! LOL!

My goal for 2017- is to continue to use my stash. I think I could scrap for entire year on what I have, LOL!

Cards In Envy

Hey there! Did you have a good new year?
It's the first Monday of the month, which means Cards In Envy has a new challenge up!
Here's the challenge:

Create a card featuring snow...snowmen, snow scenes, snowflakes but make sure there is a bird or birds on the card too.

Creative Embellishments & ScraPerfect: I'm Home!

Happy New Year! 

Today I am sharing my first layout for Creative Embellishments. I have been a huge fan of their chipboard and stamps for quite some time and I am excited to work with their products!

I created this layout for the January challenge :

Here is the inspiration photo and the twist is to use numbers on your project.

I was inspired by the clock with the Roman numerals and decided to use the Large Clock Face 5", which I left plain, as my main focal point. I also used a Grunge Arrow towards the bottom of my layout. I added 3 Hearts and backed them all with patterned paper.

I used watercolors and the packaging technique to create my background. I used the October Hip Kit Club kit. I fussy cut the houses from one of the papers.

I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever along with the No Clog Writing Cap. These 2 are the perfect combination when gluing small items such as the paper to the chipboard hearts and the fine lines on the chipboard clock. The glue comes out in fine line and the caps come in a set of 3 and fit other bottles as well! 

Here you can see one of the hearts I backed with patterned paper and a grunge arrow.
