Just Imagine

It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog and I wanted to share my layout here as well.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #310  with no insert for my border. It reminds me of water splashing and thought it was perfect for this layout of Sierra on the Maid of the Mist tour at Niagara Falls:

I also used Sketch #57 at the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog.

Here is a close up:

Together

Good morning and welcome to the weekend!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today and I wanted to share my layout here as well.
This photo of Greg and the kids was taken last summer when we visited Bev in Canada:

I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #902 for my border, added some Stickles and also added the negative strip, opposite side of the patterned paper to the bottom, left hand corner:

I used Crate Paper's Close Knit Collection along with this punch:

Have a great weekend!

Stu Co

Hello and happy Monday!
Let's Get Sketchy has a new sketch up on their blog today! That makes it worth getting out of bed on a Monday!

I used an older Glitz line and used my Gelatos on the background paper to add a lot more color to this layout of Sierra and one of her friends in their Student Council t-shirts:

Here are a few close ups:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Punch It!

Happy Monday!
Cards In Envy has a new challenge up today:
Punch It!
Create a card using elements made from punches or die cuts. This is more than just using a die shape for a layer rather, I want to see main elements made from punches/dies. Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

Here is what I came up with:

To make my flowers, I used a scalloped circle punch and punched the orange patterned paper. I then cut every other scallop towards the center and inked and bent the petals up. Easy Peasy!

If you play along with this challenge, link it up to CIE Blog. We would love to see your card!

Happy Sweet 16 Sierra!

Hello and happy weekend!
It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today and I wanted to honor my daughter, Sierra, as it is her sweet 16 birthday. And what better way to honor her than to share a layout of her from Homecoming:

I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch # 303 for both the border and the doily. For the border, no insert was used & I left the negative piece attached:

For the doily, I used the Star Template and insert A:

Here are the tools I used:

I also used this sketch from  LGS  along with the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charms line:

Happy Birthday Sierra!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Inspiration Elevator November Challenge

Hello fellow scrappy friends!
Today is the 15th of the month, that means a new Inspiration Elevator challenge! I love this group, they know how to get me out of my box! LOL!

You may recall that the purpose of the Inspiration Elevator challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to mature as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges at the Inspiration Elevator Blog.

We are thrilled to welcome guest artist Misty Russell and her eclectic, artistic style to Inspiration Elevator this month.

November's challenge comes from the very talented Joanne Burton. Here's the challenge she posed:

"November's Challenge: Back in Time.  I love looking through old photos (or not so old photos!) and remembering the great memories that go along with them. Some pictures evoke a strong emotional response while others just bring a sweet smile to our face as we recall the details of when it was taken. With that in mind, I would like each of you to pick a favourite photo and go back in time! I want you to take your photo and actually revisit the place where the photo was taken. Then take a 'picture of the picture' in it's original setting and scrapbook your new photo. **If you are absolutely not able to revisit the place where the photo was first taken, then pick a favorite picture with lots of memories attached to it and scrapbook that.

In either case, I want you to journal the story behind your photo. Make your journaling and photo come together in such a way that we feel like we are back in time with you!"

It took me some time to decide what I wanted to do for this challenge and then it hit me!
My MIL passed away in August and has this beautiful front porch on her home, you know the ones that wrap around the house?
I have taken a few photos on this porch of Greg and his siblings.
Greg, the kids and I had our photo taken in July, 2012 on her front porch and I knew I wanted to get one more family photo on this porch before Greg's family sells it.
So, before we left home for the funeral, I grabbed my camera to get one more last family photo on this porch.

I used Elle's Studio Penelope Collection for this layout.
I decided to use a color photo for the recent photo and a black and white photo for the one that was taken in 2012:

Here are a few close ups:

I hope you will stop by and see what the rest of the incredible Inspiration Elevator designers have created:

Guest Designer Misty Russell

If you feel inspired to play along with our challenge this month, please share it using the linky tool on our Inspiration Elevator blog and/or our Inspiration Elevator Facebook page. We'd LOVE to see what you made!

Happy Friday!

I have a few projects I created for My Scraps & More to share with you today.
The first one is for todays sketch challenge (#55) up on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog:

I used Simple Stories Smarty Pants Collection for this fun sports page.
A few close ups:

I also have a challenge posted on the message board today. My challenge is to
go to the gallery and find a Design Team's layout to lift. You can lift:
Audrey
Missy
Tammi
Wendi
Tracy
or myself, Lisa.
But wait, there is a catch, the DT member that you lift, you must use the letters of their name in the things you add to your layout.

I lifted a layout by Audrey and used:
A-arrows
U- underlined word in title
D- distressing
R- rectangles
E- eyelets
Y- yellow
Here is my lift using Elle's Studio Penelope Collection:

Would love if you played along with one or both of these challenges. Tammi always has awesome prizes!

I will be back a little later with my Inspiration Elevator layout for this months challenge.
Enjoy your day!

Christmas Cards!

Good evening!
This last weekend I had some well deserved scrappy time and decided I had better get going on some Christmas cards. Between work and basketball, I have been crazy busy!
It's been quite awhile since I played along on the 365 Cards Blog and decided to use some of their challenges to jump start my creativity. I always loved playing along with their challenges, but since going back to work, just haven't had the time.

I ended up only getting 5 cards done, but had fun with the challenges.

#1. Day 312: Create a shadow effect on your card.
I used a white mat behind my sentiment:

#2. Day 309: Use 3 patterned papers, 2 Stamps (tree & snowflake), 1 Sticker (sentiment):

#3. Day 307: Use a sketch by my scrappy friend, Wendi Robinson:

#4. Day 314: Another sketch by Wendi:

#5. I used a sketch by Bev Code and played along at the Turtle Soup:

Hoping I get more scrappy time soon so I can make a few more cards.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Exploring!

Hey there fellow scrappers!
I have a layout up on the My Scraps & More Blog today.
I don't know about you, but I am longing for warmer weather already, which is why I have been scrapping a few camping layouts lately :)
I used the JilliBean Happy Camper Stew along with an LGS Sketch  for this layout of Austin looking for frogs and whatever else while camping in 2012:

Hope you have a fabulous rest of the week!

Say What?!

3 posts in 1 day?! Yes, it's a busy day for me! But, I promise, this is the last one for today! LOL

There's a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog today!
Here is the challenge:
Use a sentiment, poem or quote as the MAIN element on your card instead of an image.
Make sure your card is an A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is 1/4" or less in thickness to fit in an envelope.

Here is my card:

Hope you have a wonderful day!

So Pretty!

It's sketch reveal day over at the Turtle Soup today!
Here is my layout of Sierra all dressed up for Homecoming:

and a few close ups:

I used some older papers and embellies from Echo Park and it felt good using up some of my stash :)
Enjoy your day!
