Sweet!

Hello!
Today I am sharing a layout I created for CSI.
I used Crate Paper Love Notes for this layout of Sierra and I:

These hearts were cut from my Cameo quite a while ago and had been sitting in a drawer. I thought they would be perfect to add a wreath to this layout. I glued them down and then added a hand stitched circle and tied a bow on the bottom. I fussy cut the "You make my heart sing" from one of the papers. I also added a heart acetate and a flair button:

I added a shelf of patterned paper to the bottom of my photo. I machine stitched the layers together and then added foam behind to pop it up and add some dimension to my layout:

I fussy cut the "XOXO" from one of the papers and then used a punch to punch some hearts. I added a border to the bottom of my page to give my layout some balance:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, wreath and shelf. For evidence, I used: paint, wreath, woodgrain (clothespin), hearts, Valentine themed elements, and a frame.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Coffee Because...

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a fun coffee layout I have up over at Creative Embellishments.
Sierra took this photo of her coffee station at her apartment while she was away at college her sophomore year. I have been saving it for just the right embellies. So when I was searching through the Creative Embellishments store and saw the "Coffee because adulting is hard" chipboard piece, I knew I just had to use it for this photo:

I added 3 of the wood veneer Coffee Cups in various sizes. I colored them with the same pink mist I used on my background. Speaking of my background, I used a red mist and the pink mist and used the packaging technique to apply them. Once they were dry, I used the Distressed Circle Stamp along with black ink and stamped sporadically on my background. Finally, I added some black mist spatters:

Here is a close up of my title:

I added a few die cuts, stickers and layers of patterned papers under and around my photo. I used AC Shimelle die cuts and papers and Simple Stories stickers:

This was such a fun layout to create! I love altering the fun chipboard pieces and wood veneer! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

My Go To Adhesive Remover

Hey there friends!
I am here today to share a fun and easy way to clean adhesive build up off of your crafting scissors. I love the Best Cleaner Ever for doing this!
I cut a variety of things with my craft scissors, some of which are sticky.  This time I had glue and craft foam on them:

I sprayed the scissors with the Best Cleaner Ever and let them sit for about 10 minutes:

Finally, I took a paper towel, used a little elbow grease and wiped the stickiness away! My scissors look brand new again:

Thanks for stopping by and the next time you are looking to remove adhesive build up, try the Best Cleaner Ever!

Valentine's Tag

Hey there friends!
Today I am sharing a Valentine's tag I created for Whisker Graphics.
I used a Large White Colored Tag, a Sweet Stickys Label, Red Solid Divine Twine, Cotton Candy Divine Twine Petite and Echo Park Yours Truly collection for this fun tag:

Here's my process:
I glued patterned paper to the tag and then trimmed off the excess:

I cut the Sweet Sticky Label in half. Using a pencil, I traced part of a heart on each side:

I used a push pin to punch holes along the pencil line of the heart:

I decided to use the Red Solid Divine Twine to hand stitch the hearts:

I peeled the twine apart, using two strands instead of the whole strand so that the stitching wouldn't be so thick on this small space:

I popped the Sweet Stickys Label up using foam. I fussy cut the "XO" from patterned paper and glued that on my tag:

I finished off the tag with a Divine Twine bow:

I love how this tag came out and will be adding it to a Valentine's Day card.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Farewell CIE!

Hey friends!
I am sad to say that this is the final challenge over at Cards In Envy. I have enjoyed being on this team the last 5 1/2 years! Wow, I can't believe it's been that long! I have met some wonderful people, especially Sandy. Thanks for having me!
This last challenge is to use the first sketch that was posted at CIE. I used Fancy Pants Wonderful Day and Divine Twine for this card:

I punched three circles on the top layer of my card and backed two with patterned paper. The other one, I popped up with some foam. I added a border across the middle. Backed the patterned paper with green cardstock and added some machine stitching. I fussy cut the balloon and added that to my border. Finally, I added a few chipboard buttons, with Divine Twine bows and that cute celebrate flag.

Check out the sketch on the blog and play along with us!

Adventure Is Out There!

Hey there!
I am sharing a layout I created for the Sunday sketch at Creative Inspiration.
I used Photo Play Campfire for this fun camping page of the guys canoeing:

I fussy cut the signs and canoes out of  the papers from this collection:

I added lots of layer around and under my photos and included some machine stitching for texture:

I also fussy cut the title and oars, popping them up with foam to add dimension:

You can check out Bev's sketch on the board. Every week, she posts a new layout and a card sketch. We would love to have you play along!

15th Grade

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a layout I have up over on the Creative Embellishments blog using the new February challenge. I used BoBunny and Echo Park from my stash along with lots of Creative Embellishment goodies on this layout of Sierra:

As soon as I saw the mood board this month, I knew I had to use this Snapchat photo Sierra sent me. I choose to use several hearts on my layout rather than one. I used 2 of the Distressed Hearts on the right side of the photo and 1 of the Heart Doodle Frames on the left. I backed all 3 of these with patterned papers. I added lace around my photo to frame it:

For my title "15th" I used the Grades or Awards chipboard and used the "5th" piece and cut the "1" off the "1st" piece. I put them together to make the "15th". I also added a Simple Stories sticker and some old mini alphas from my stash:

I added a bit of Gesso smudges to the Dripping Heart Lace Border and cut a few pieces to add to my page.

I added a few wood veneer Hearts, a wood veneer Geek Chic Glasses and 2 February 14th Flair.

Here is the mood board:

The twist is to use lace.

I was inspired by the colors and heart.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Valentine's Day Card

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day card with you that I have up over at Dies R Us.
I used the Fancy Pants Millie & June 6x6 Paper Pad and Tutti Designs Love Heart Edge for this card:

I added a few patterned papers to my base. Then I added a border of patterned paper as well along with some stitching. I used the negative hearts from the die to scatter on the right side of my card. I backed the hearts in the die cut with a blue patterned paper to make the die cut pop. I love how  eye catching this is!

Here are the items I used from the store:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Winter

Hey there friends,
It's the 1st of the month, that means a new challenge is up at CSI.
I used Fancy Pants St. Nick from my stash for this fun winter layout:

I used the Snowed In cut file from The Cut Shoppe and a tree cut file from the Silhouette store.

I backed the "Winter" cut file with patterned papers from the St. Nick collection and then stitched around the letters using silver thread.

The snowflakes are another cut file from the Silhouette store. I cut them out of white cardstock and added fussy cut hearts to this one:

I used Shimmerz, Tattered Angels and Perfect Pearls mists on my background. Here is another snowflake. On this one, I fussy cut the small red snowflake from one of the papers and placed it on top. I also added tangled silver thread under the snowflake. Finally, I added some Studio Calico wood veneer birds:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, trees and birds.
For my evidence, I used stripes, dots, distressed patterns, border, trees, winter elements, birds, mist/splatters and a few cut files.
For my testimony, I documented something about winter.

We would love to have you play along with us! Just add your layout to the Facebook album.
