Yum!

Hey everyone!
It's my day up on the Sketches In Thyme blog.
I used a photo my daughter sent me of a sandwich she ate while studying abroad in Germany.  I used October Afternoon stash and a stamp from Creative Embellishments for this layout:

I added lots of layers behind my photo. I added a few phrase stickers, fussy cut flowers, punched scalloped circles and a doily:

I left the journaling spots empty so that she can add it.

Here is the sketch I used:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Madrid Magic

Hello!
I have a travel layout to share with you today. This layout was created for Creative Embellishments.
Sierra studied abroad this semester in Germany. She has been quite the European traveler. She took this photo while spending a few days in Madrid:

I used the Chunky Alphabet Set for my title. I added a few coats of Gesso and then painted it with a couple of blue mists that I mixed together. I added the diecut word "magic" to finish it off:
I added a coat of Gesso to the Scandinavian Mountains. Using a palette knife, I added some glass beads to the top of the mountains to mimic snow. Once it was dry, I added the same mixture of blue mists that I used for "Madrid". I overlapped the mountains on the sides of the picture with the one on top. I added foam behind the ones on the side. The papers and other embellishments are from Paper House:

I added a few embellishments, tucking the "Explore" one in the mountain:

I just love all the texture these mountains have! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Demo Day!

Hey there friends!
Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there!
About 10 years ago, we removed the porch off the front of our house and replace it with steps. This photo is Austin doing some demo work. Yup, it took me that long to scrap it! LOL! I used Echo park Jack and Jill:

I added a frame to the outside of my layout. Then I machine stitched around the edge. I distressed the edge using my fingers. I fussy cut this banner from one of the papers:

I used alphas from the collection as well as word phrase stickers for my title:

I created this banner using stickers from the collection:

Here's the sketch:

I am so glad I finally got this photo scrapped and I love how it came out!

Summer

Hey friends!
Summer is finally here in Wisconsin!
I am sharing my layout today for case file #286 at CSI.
I used Simple Stories Hello Summer for this fun camping page:

I added a torn strip of patterned paper to the top and bottom of my layout and machine stitched through them. I added watercolor to my background. I added a few stickers and a chipboard cacti:

The cut file is from Paige Evans and I backed it with patterned paper using ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached. I added that cute chipboard flamingo, isn't it adorable?!

Here's the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and summer theme. For evidence, I used: stripes, flowers, flamingo, sun and sunglasses. For my testimony I documented something about a summer camping trip.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Thinking of You Card

Hey there friends!
I am back today to share a thinking of you card that I created for ScraPerfect. I used Fancy pants Life Is Beautiful and some stamps I picked up at JoAnns, I believe.
Here is my card:

To get a nice crisp image, just rub the Perfect Crafting Pouch on your cardstock before stamping:

After stamping my images and sentiment, I added watercolor to them.

Once they were dry, I fussy cut them out and used the Best Glue Ever to attach all layers of my card:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Countdown to 2019

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a layout with you that I have up on the Creative Embellishments blog today. I used  some New Year chippies. Yes, I am finally getting around to scrap a new years eve photo, LOL!

I added watercolors and Shimmerz to my background. I backed a Paper Issues cut file, triangle burst,  with patterned paper from Paper House and then added some machine stitching. I used the April Hip Kit Club kit  (Paige Evans Horizon) along with the News Year Eve Word Set and the 2019 chipboard for my title:

I added a few coats of gesso to them and then used a Shimmerz to color them. I added a few layers of patterned paper under my photo and then added a few embellishments around it:

I love how this layout came out and it was so much fun to make!
Until next time, stay scrappy!

Fun Times!

Hey there friends!
Today is reveal day for the June challenge at Creative Embellishments!
I used the August 2017 Hip Hit Club kit for this fun layout of Austin on the Skywheel at Niagara Falls:

I was inspired by the carnival theme of the inspiration photo.

I added a few fussy cut flowers, diecuts and a wood veneer Heart Cluster Piece colored with Nuvo Glitter Markers:

I used the Ferris Wheel and colored it with Nuvo Glitter Markers. I added a ticket sticker to the center of it:

This photo shows a little more of the glitter look it has:

For the banner part of the challenge, I used the Bauble Banner and colored it with the markers as well.

I love that banner and think I need to get another one for a camping page!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Love My Porch

Hey there friends!
It's the first of the month, that means the new case files are up at CSI.
I used case file #285 for this page about my porch:

I used mostly PinkFresh Indigo Hills 2 . The blue paper under my photo is Autentique and the yellow is Teresa Collins. The arrows are also Teresa Collins.

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the Indigo Hills 2 papers. I fussy cut the frames and hearts from an Amy Tan paper. I added a few diecuts from the Indigo Hills 2 collection. I think the tassel is from PinkFresh as well.

I added a few strips of paper to the left side and then added some machine stitching. I added a few fussy cut flowers and a frame:

I love the wood pieces from the Indigo Hills 2 collection along with this rainbow diecut. I added a few fussy cut pieces here as well:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and room theme. For evidence, I used: wood, stripes, frames and flowers.
For my testimony, I documented something about my home.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you join us this month!
