Online Friends

Happy Friday Scrappy Friends!
It is still so cold here, but I think it is suppose to warm up a bit after today- at least above 0, lol!
I started working on a layout using a Sketchabilities sketch Wednesday when we had no school due to the freezing temps (wind chill 35-45 below). I love their sketches- they bring out the messy side in me :)
I used a photo I took of Austin and one of his online PS3 buddies who finally met in Appleton (supervised by me of coarse) last month. They have been playing together for over a year and finally met. Kinda like meeting an online scrappy friend.

Here is what I came up with using Pink Paislee Solstice: papers and tabs
Heidi Swapp: words, butterfly and arrow
My Minds Eye mini alphas
Cameo cut Laura Whitaker frame
Tim Holtz stencils and ink
Modeling Paste
Miscellaneous thread, photo mat, acrylic paint and mustache

Here are lots of close ups:

I usually use watercolors for my drippage, but I wanted a maroon and just couldn't get it in watercolor, so I used acrylic paint and watered it down:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Best Day Ever!

Happy Tuesday!
Last weekend I had a bit of free scrapping time and played along with the first sketch of the new year at Stuck?! Sketches.
I used a photo of Austin while camping this summer at Pineland. They had a huge tarp on the ground and had shaving cream all over it. The kids and their cousins had the best time ever!  This was my favorite picture I took that day and I took lots! LOL!
I used Crate Paper Notes & Things along with Amy Tangerine (grey paper), a Doodlebug doily and Dear Lizzy Thickers (ever!):

Joy

Hey there!
There is a new challenge up at Card's In Envy today. The challenge: create a card with a banner on it.

I used an Old Scrap Dango kit (man, I miss them!) and came up with this:

I know, it's a Christmas card, but after this year falling behind, I have a good start on next year! LOL!
I fussy cut the doily, deer and border.
Hope you will play along with us this month!

Happy Monday!
Over on the LGS blog is a new sketch to play with! There is a new sketch posted every Monday.
I used Chic Tags Let's Go for this layout of Greg, Austin and Bev's granddaughter at Clifton Hills by Niagara Falls:

I used black cardstock as my background to make the photos "pop".
Here are some close ups:

I fussy cut the cameras out of one of the patterned papers.

I love the Studio Calico wood veneer "Explore". It was perfect for this travel page.

Hope you will play along with us this month!

December Project 12

Happy Sunday!
It's a sad day here- last day of Christmas break for the kids and I. Back to school for them and back to work for me tomorrow. Plus it's snowing and with the wind chill it is suppose to be 30-40 below later today/tomorrow. Gotta love living in Wisconsin, LOL!
I posted a new Project 12 sketch at Turtle Soup yesterday and just wanted to share that along with my layout today.

Here is my 2 page layout using a few different lines of Echo Park:

Top 14 for 2014

Happy New Year Scrappy Friends!
Did you make it to midnight?
In 2014 I did 217 layouts, 67 cards and 4 other scrappy related/ altered projects! That's not too bad! Hoping for more in 2015!
Today I am sharing my top 14 layouts from 2014. I was going to do a top 10, but I couldn't narrow it down, so I decided I would do a top 14 for 2014:)
Here they are in no particular order:

There you have it! It was fun looking back and seeing what I created!
I will be sharing my favorite cards on Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me. I hope you have a healthy and happy 2015!

Happy New Year!

Hey there!
Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a safe New Years Eve!
It's my day to post a challenge up at My Scraps & More for Throw Back Thursday. What better way to start the New Years by using your stash?! My challenge is to use at least 1 photo that is at least 2 years old and rub-ons. I don't know about you, but I have lots of rub-ons and rarely use them.
Here is my page using Fancy Pants True Friend:

Some close ups:

I love this fun line! Orange and teal are two of my favorite colors!

Enjoy your day!
