Isn't She Lovely?

Hey everyone!
I have a layout up at Creative Embellishments today.
I used lots of CE chipboard along with Simple Stories Vintage Bliss and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever for this layout of Sierra. This photo was taken in January. She is studying abroad in Marburg, Germany this semester and this photo was taken while they were touring the city.

For my title, I used Isn't She Lovely. I added white acrylic paint, then mixed together a few yellow acrylic paints to get the right color. Then I spattered it with a few mists:

I used the smallest of the 3 Simple Doily Frames and cut it in two pieces. I added part of it to the bottom of my layout and the rest I added to the right side. I backed the frame with patterned paper. I added acrylic paints and mist spatters to this piece as well. I tucked in a piece of the Delphinium here also:

I used the medium of the Simple Doily Frames on top of my photo. I added the Delphinium pieces on both sides of my photo. These pieces were also colored using acrylic paint and mist spatters.

I added a few flowers , leaves and fussy cut flowers to this layout. I finished it off with lots of mist spatters:

I love how this layout came out! Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Dream A Little Dream

Hey everyone!
Today I am sharing a layout created for Creative Embellishments May challenge.
I used Basic Grey Prism and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever along with some wonderful Creative Embellishment products:

I added watercolor to my background. The "gem" cut file from the Silhouette store was cut on white cardstock with my Cameo. I added Lindy's black mist to it and then machine stitched it on my background. I added a butterfly flair from the Fly Away Flair set.

I used the same mist to color the Dream a Little...Gems and the word "Imagine" from the Dream Word Set. I backed the Gems with patterned paper. Isn't that title just gorgeous?! I love it!

I used 1 of the Fairies and colored it with Recollections mist.

Go check out the inspiration photo and the twist that goes with it. Play along with us! Nicole has a gift certificate up for grabs!  I can't wait to see your take on this challenge!

Let's Go

Hey there friends!
Today I am sharing a layout created for CSI case file #281. I used a cut file from Juliana Michaels and mostly Fancy Pants Atwell  for this page:

I added a few layers of patterned papers under my photo and then tucked in a few tags. I backed the cut file with papers from the Atwell collection. The "merci" paper is from Dear Lizzy Lovely. I added a fussy cut typewriter, fussy cut labels from Simple Stories Life In Color:

I added a few word phrases from Fancy Pants Family & Co. I tucked in a wood veneer from Evalicious. The frames and puffy stickers are from the Atwell collection (I did add my date after I took the photos):

I added a few fussy cut cars from the Dear Lizzy Lovely collection. I machine stitched the cut file and then added some faux stitching in black around it:

I used EK Success alphas for my title. I finished the layout off with some enamel dots from Simple Stories:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, pie charts and words "let's go". For evidence, I used plain white background, wood, camera, cars, typewriter, labels, pie charts and frames.
For my testimony, I choose a fav photo and documented why it's my fav.
We would love to have you play along with us and share your layout to the CSI Facebook group!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fun With You!

Hey there!
I am up on the ScraPerfect blog today sharing this layout that I created using scallop strips of patterned paper along with the Best Glue Ever. This is my favorite glue! I used the June 2017 Hip Kit Club kit for this page of Sierra and me:

I fussy cut these scallops from patterned paper:

I added a few drops of the Best Glue Ever, a little bit goes a long way.

I added them to my layout and then machine stitched them. I always make sure the glue is dry before I add machine stitching just so my needle doesn't get sticky from the glue.

Here are a few more close ups:

Mother's Day Card

Hello!
I played along with a card sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap and used Shimelle Little By Little for this Mother's Day card for my mom:

I fussy cut the flower cluster from one of the 6x6 papers and added a few punched butterflies along with the "happy" card, doily and sentiment.

Here's the sketch:

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Be You

Hey friends!
I am sharing a layout I created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and Fancy Pants Be You collection. I still have lots of this collection in my stash. When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of the overlay in this collection:

I added a border strip with the quote along with a sticker border and added some machine stitching. I also added a few chipboard pieces, a fussy cut flower and a rub-on:

Another fussy cut flower, a diecut and another chipboard piece:

I fussy cut the heart and will have Sierra add her journaling here:

The Adventure Begins

Hello!
I am sharing a layout I created for Sketches In Thyme using the April 22nd sketch.
I used Paper House Productions for this layout:

I added some layers under my photo. I used some old square alphas from my stash. I made my own tags from patterned paper and added a Divine Twine bow:

The airplane diecut is from Simple Stories. I added some foam to give some dimension:

I used the "Adventure" sticker from the collection for part of my title. I added the "See the World" sticker, also popped up with foam. I used a circle punch and cut them in half for my banner. I also added a few hand cut banner shapes:

I created another fun banner at the top of my page and added some machine stitching. For my background, I used watercolor, followed by some Heidi Swapp navy mist spatters:

Here's the fun sketch:

Cool!

Hello and happy Friday!
Today I am sharing a layout that I created for Off The Rails. I used Simple Stories So Rad for this page of Austin:

I used an older photo of him on a skateboard I picked up at a garage sale. I used watercolors for my background. I added some layers of patterned paper under my photo. I created this triangle banner using stickers. I added a few cork arrows, I believe they are from Fancy pants:

I used alpha stickers from the collection for my title and machine stitched through them:

I created a cluster on the left side of my page and added some machine stitching:

When I create a layout, I place all or most of my stuff on my background and then remove everything to create my background. I found that if I put my stickers on cardstock and then fussy cut around them, that I can easily move these around on my layout until I find the proper place for them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Spring

Hello!
There's a mini crop going on at Creative Inspiration. I have a layout that I created for my challenge to share with you. My challenge is to create a spring project. I used PhotoPlay Bloom and a Freebie Friday cut file from The Cut Shoppe for this layout of Austin and one of our friends:

I used watercolors for my background. I fussy cut the flowers, mason jar and leaves from the papers. I popped the "Beautiful" sticker up on foam to add some dimension:

I backed the cut file with patterned papers and popped it up with foam. For my title, I used a sticker and added some machine stitching for texture. I added the date with a stamp:

I fussy cut a few birds and added them to my page:

I love how this page came out! It's so soft and pretty!
