Christmas In July Album

Hi everyone!
I am back to share another album I created for Creative Embellishments. I will call this one Christmas in July, lol! I am having so much fun with these albums!  This one is bigger than my last two. This one measures 9x10". I used the tutorials by Bev Code once again along with lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard and Carta Bella Christmas and Happy Christmas collections. I used ink pads, a red Sharpie and various mists to color the chipboard.

I am back with a hand made Christmas album that I created for Creative Embellishments I will call it Christmas in July, lol! I am having so much fun with these albums!  This one is bigger than my last two. This one measures 9x10". I used the tutorials by Bev Code once again along with lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard and Echo Park Christmas and Happy Christmas collections. I used ink pads, a red Sharpie and various mists to color the chipboard. On the cover, I used: Christmas Bulb, Poinsettia Set, Prancing Deer, Tiny Tag, Have A Holly Jolly Christmas 2, Chipboard Snowflakes and the Noel is a custom size piece that Nicolle created. I cut a berry off and added that to the inside of the poinsettia:

I fussy cut the wreath from one of the papers and layered the chipboard pieces on, under and around it. I also fussy cut the deer and tucked it in. I added some Divine Twine to the Tiny Tag:

I decided to use a few different mists and inks to the Have a Holly Jolly Christmas 2 piece and I love how it came out! I added some sheer ribbon from my stash to the Christmas Bulb. I added lots of watered down white acylic paint spatters to this album. Snowflakes aren't brown, but I thought they matched and I could get away with it, lol.

Page 1 has a booklet that pulls out. I added the Scrawny Tree and the Merry Christmas Sentiment. Page 2 has two booklets tucked in. I added the Baubles to one and the Deer Blank to the other.

Here's a close up of the Baubles. I used Heidi Swapp gold colorshine to paint them. When that was dry, I added light modeling paste through two CE stencils- Snowflake and Twinkle Star. I love how this looks!

I colored the Christmas Wreath and then added a red Bow on top:

I received this tag in a swap over 10 years ago from a scrappy friend named Jan. I always loved it and thought it was perfect for this album. Check it out, isn't it awesome? It originally had small red sparkly Joy over the green joy but somewhere in those 10 plus years I lost the "y", so I replaced it with the red bling:

This is the inside of page 4 & 5. There is lots of room for photos:

Page 5: Christmas Train & Peace is another custom word Nicolle created. Page 6: Christmas Wreath, Bow and Snowflake Banner

Here's a close up look at that cute Christmas Train:

Page 5 has a booklet that pulls out. I added a Shine ATC Frame and a Scribble Light to it. Page 6 opens like this and I also added part of the Snowflakes Border here.

I really enjoyed creating this album and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

All American!

 Hello!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #414 at CSI. I used some SnapChat photos from last year along with PhotoPlay Live Free collection and a few other goodies:

I added watercolor to my white cardstock background. Then used Creative Embellishments Grunge Stars Stamp along with black Stazon ink to stamp on it. I created 3 "shelves" of strips of patterned papers. 2 for photos to sit on and 1 for extra embellishments. I added a photo of myself to the first shelve. I added a red stamped mason jar. I used a Dear Lizzy stamp and Rich Cherry Ink Pad from Richard Garay. I placed the Star Doodle Frame from Creative Embellishments on top. I colored the chipboard frame using ink. I added the hotdog sticker from Recollections, popping it up with craft foam. I added the "freedom" rub-on:

I fussy cut some small stars and added those along with the firework and "Live Free" stickers:

For the second shelf, I fussy cut the flag from one of the papers. I added my strips of papers, some stitching and the truck (Recollections) and pie stickers. I added the "kick back" rub-on and a few chevron fussy cut arrows:

I added another photo to my third shelf on top of a handmade frame. I tucked in another stamped mason jar, this time I used Rich Blueberry Ink Pad from Richard Garay. I added in a few Recollections stars with jewels on them. I popped the "All American" sticker up with some craft foam:

Happy 4th of July!

Hey there Friends!!
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!
Today I am sharing a fun 4th of July page with you that I created for Creative Embellishments. I love playing with the filters on Snap Chat! Last 4th of July while sitting out at the campground, I tried a bunch of the filters out on me, lol. I used some chippies and acrylic from the store along with the BoBunny Liberty collection. I have been trying to use my stash up for quite some time and still have a lot to go. anyways, here's my page:

I cut a banner and stitched that to my white cardstock that I added watercolor splotches and spatters to. I fussy cut the blue piece with the stars on it and added it to the top. Then machine stitched them to my page. I added 2 photos on top and under this. For my title, I used the Happy 4th of July chippy. I added white acrylic paint to it. When that dried, I added some inks. I popped it up with some craft foam:

I added the banner sticker to the top of my page. I colored a 4th of July ATC Coin with an ink pad and added some spatters. I tucked one to the left of my upper photos. I fussy cut a few of the circles, distressed them  and tucked them in:

For my sub-title I used an ink pad to color the Selfie chipboard piece and then added spatters. I finished it off with some foam Thickers:

I also tucked a 4th of July ATC Coin to the right of the lower photos. I added in a few Tim Holtz word phrase stickers and 3 Red Acrylic Mirror Stars :

Check out that goofy filter! Haha! I love it! I fussy cut the border from one of the papers and then added the fussy cut liberty bell on top, popping it up with craft foam:

I hope you have a wonderful, safe and happy 4th!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Beach Mini Album

Hello Friends!
I have another mini album to share with you today. I used the Beach Mini Album from the Creative Embellishments store, lots of CE chippies and Paper House for this beautiful beach album:

 A few close ups:

The back of the mini album:

 A few more close ups:

I used modge podge to adhere the patterned papers to the chipboard. Then I cut them using a kraft knive. I uase a sanding block around the edges and then applied ink to the edges. I prepared the chippies by applying ink to them. Finally I added them to my album along with some Paper House stickers and embellishments.
 Here is what I used:
On The Beach Word Set (swimming)
Beach Word Set 2 (beach bum)
  Summer Wood Veneer (swimsuit)

I had a blast creating this album and hope I have inspired you in some way!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Our Garden

 Hey there Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #570 at Sketches In Thyme. I used Simple Stories Simple Vintage Farmhouse Garden for this page of our garden last year:

I tried to stick close to the sketch. I only have the 6x8 paper pad in this collection so instead of paper layers like the sketch has, I added some hand stitching using embroidery floss. I placed my 3 photos on the watercolored background. I popped this cute sticker banner up on some craft foam to add dimension. I used some Bella Blvd. stickers from my stash and machine stitched through them:

I fussy cut the peas and added lots of stickers from the Simple Stories collection, popping a few up with foam. I added a torn strip of black paper along with some machine stitching at the bottom of the page:

I fussy cut that cute windmill srom one of the papers:

Here is the sketch:

Thnaks for stopping by and I will see you again soon!

Hello Summer

 Hello Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #413 at CSI. I used Crate Paper Oasis & Wild At Heart along with Echo Park Summer Fun for this page of me sitting by the ocean in South Padre Island:

I added watercolor to my white cardstock background. I fussy cut lots of leaves and flowers to create a wreath. I added a few palm trees from Creative Embellishments. I colored them with inks. I fussy cut the bird and popped him up with craft foam:

I fussy cut a pineapple and the word "sun". I added in the "our paradise" sticker on top of the left photo:

I added a few fussy cut flamingos, a few stickers and the "hello summer" ribbon. The "flip flops" is a chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments:

I fussy cut the swimsuit and the word "fun" and tucked those in too:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, wreath, palm branches and flamingos. For evidence, I used: wonky dots (spatters), summer themed items, wreath as a page design, circles, flamingo, bird, palm trees, leaves, flowers, fruit (pineapple), pleating and cursive font (hello on ribbon). My testimony is to document something about summer.
Check out the CSI Facebook group to see the full case file and to submit your take on it.

Rainy Day

Hello friends!
Today I am sharing a layout I created for Creative Embellishments. I used some chipboard pieces from the CE store along with JilliBean Soup Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup collection.

For my background, I added light modeling paste through the Raindrop Stencil on white cardstock. Then added some watercolor:

Here is a closer look at the stencil work. I colored some of the clouds and raindrops from the Rainy Days Wood Veneer with ink and added those to my page.  I added an Umbrella that I colored with ink as well:

I added the second Umbrella to the right of my photo and added the Rainy Day title piece that I heat embossed:

I fussy cut the banner pieces from one of the patterned papers and machine stitched it under my border. The Raindrop Stencil has raindrops and it has a few different puddles on it. Here is a close up of one of them:

I added the third Umbrella under my title. I added a tag, some fussy cut flowers and a few stickers:

Here's a closer look at the borders and fussy cut flowers:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Memorial Day Weekend

 Hello Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #412 at CSI. I used mostly Simple Stories Happy Trail along with a Creative Embellishments stencil and some of their chipboard for this camping page. I made a matchbook to hold extra photos from the weekend.

I added watercolor spatters to my white cardstock background. I fussy cut some clouds and machine stitched them in place. I used the Burst Stencil from Creative Embellishments along with a Distressed Oxide Ink to add the sunburst peeking out from behind my photos:

I placed my photos and added some stickers from the EP collection, popping some up with craft foam:

For my title, I used the Memorial Day Weekend chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments and used a brown ink pad to add some color:

because I had so many pictures from this weekend, I made a matchbook to hold them. I added a sheer bow to it. I added the bear and binoculars stickers, a fussy cut tree and a Compass from Creative Embellishments:

Here's a look at the matchbook when it is open:

I added a cluster of embellishments- stickers, fussy cut items and diecuts- to the bottom right of the layout.

I love how this page came out!
