Keepin' It Real

Hey friends!
There's a new card and layout sketch up over at Creative Inspiration. I played along with the layout sketch for the Design Team reveal. I used the October 2016 Hip Kit Club kit for this layout of 2 of my sisters, niece and nephew at the Packers family night a few years ago:

I added a few circles to my background and stitched around them using my sewing machine. I added a few heart embellies:

I added the wood veneer "family fun" sticker:

I kept this layout fairly simple which is unusual for me and there is no mixed media on it, LOL!

Here's the sketch:

Hope you will play along with us!

Demo Day

Hey friends!
Today I am sharing a layout created for CSI using case file #293. This case file was created to inspire us to use our stash. I used October Afternoon Farmhouse and added a few other items from my stash for this layout:

I used old Bella Blvd. chipboard numbers and placed them around the top of my circle.
I fussy cut the house from one of the papers and popped it up with craft foam:

I added a few diecuts from Crate Paper Craft Market- paint brushes, bee and butterfly. Crate Paper DIY- typewriter. I added an old photo corner from Bella Blvd. to the top right of my photo:

I fussy cut the doily and pennant from the papers and added them under my photo. I used old chipboard alphas from my stash to add my title and finish the bottom part of the circle:

Here's the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and numbers.

I love using my stash and I love how this page came out!

Sparkle Every Day

Hey friends!
Today I am sharing the moodboard reveal at Off The Rails. The mood board was black and white. I used mostly black and white but added a few touches of pink, teal and gold.
I used Maggie Holmes Carousel from the August 2017 Hip Kit Club kit along with the Best Glue Ever for this fun layout of Greg and I camping:

I added a BoBunny black doily , some fussy cut flowers and some diecuts. I added a few stickers, buttons and a ow from the kit:

I added the giraffe, zebra, frame, tent and camera diecuts from the Carousel collection. Aren't they just the cutest?

I used a black and white word paper from an older American Crafts line and stitched around it using white thread. Check out that gold heart, I love it!

Here is the mood board:

I love how this layout came out! Hope you will play along with us!

Flower Garden

Hey there!
I am sharing a layout created for Creative Embellishments using the August mood board. This is actually the 2nd one I created- I wasn't happy with the background on the first one and tore the photos and embellishments off and started over. I will show you take 1 at the end of this post.
I used patterned paper from Paper House and washi tape from my stash along with CE chipboard.
I was inspired by the flowers and the ivy from the mood board and decided to scrap pictures of my flower garden. Take 2:

I used the Iron Fence Set, Iris and a Bird Bath. To color these, I used a variety of mists:

I added the Flourish 31 to the right of my photos and colored them with mists too:

I added 2 pieces of the Delicate Ivy. One to the top of the photos and one to the bottom. These I colored with mists as well:

I added some flowers and washi tape from my stash.
Ok, are you ready for take 1?

I used the Crackled Brick Stencil to add texture paste to my background. I also used those grass cut scissors (for the life of me I can't remember what they are called) and cut green cardstock to look like grass. I liked it, but it just wasn't me. I think I like take 2 better....
Anywho, thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Dinner With A View- CSI

Hey everyone!
Today I am sharing a layout created for CSI. I used Dear Lizzy Serendipity and Pink Paislee Memorandum for this layout of us in Austria. We sat outside and had this gorgeous view of the Alps!

I added diagonally torn stripsof paper. The pinks are from Dear Lizzy and the purple one ids from Pink Paislee. I used a frame from Pink Paislee and placed a photo of my dinner behind it. I fussy cut some labels from one of the 6x6 Pink Paislee papers and added them to the right along with some machine stitching:

I added another frame here and placed an acetate behind it. I fussy cut the word "love" and the flowers from some of the Dear Lizzy papers. I added a few Heidi Swapp word sticker phrases and fussy cut the tiny cameras from one of the Pink Paislee papers:

I used old Thickers along with the small block Heidi Swapp alphas for my title:

I used a larger frame for the main photo and added some washi tape, patterned paper and stitching to it. I added a few stickers and the cherry diecut from Dear Lizzie:

Here is the case file:

Check out the CSI Facebook page to see what the rest of the team did with this file.

Shine

Hey there friends!
I have a tutorial up on the ScraPerfect blog today on how to add foil to your layout. I used Dear Lizzy Serendipity for this graduation page.
Here is the layout I created:

I used a negative cut file that was laying on my desk and backed it with patterned paper and then stitched around it. I wanted to add some gold foil to the sun rays so I added a thin line of ScraPerfect Glue with the No Clog Writing Cap attached:

Once the glue was clear, it's white when you apply it, it is tacky and can place the Transfer Foil on top. Foil side up. Using my finger, I rubbed the foil where the glue was:

This is the result:

Gorgeous! I love the touch of sparkle the foil adds!

I added craft foam behind my photo to give my layout some dimension. The Best Glue Ever works perfect for adhering the foam to my layout:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Camp

Hello!
I am sharing a layout for my mini crop challenge at Creative Inspiration. My challenge is to create a camping or other outdoor activity project. I used Simple Stories Take A Hike for my layout:

I fussy cut the banner from one of the papers and then machine stitched:

I used an old stencil and then cut the big trees from patterned papers. I fussy cut the compass and added a few stickers:

The small tree was traced from the negative of a sticker and then fussy cut. I also fussy cut the "Wilderness Survival" and "explore". I added some stickers popped up with craft foam:

Check out the other challenges!

Be Fearless

Hello! Lisa back to share a fun and colorful layout with you using some Creative Embellishments amazing chipboard. I also used the March Hip Kit Club kit. I used papers from Maggie Holmes Sunny day.
To create my background, I added white Gesso to the middle of my white cardstock. Once it was dry. I sprayed it with water and then added some mists using plastic packaging to move it around. I added the fussy cut butterflies. Finally, I splattered it with a navy mist

I used a Gold Glitter Nuvo Marker to color the Do Things Quote. I placed the top part of it on the white space in my photo:

I fussy cut the pink flowers and leaves and added a Fern Foilage 3, also colored with the Nuvo marker, in the cluster on the upper right. I used a diecut for my subtitle:

I created another cluster using the same items on the lower left:

I love how this layout came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
